The action starts on Anne’s 13th birthday when she receives a diary as a present. Two weeks later the Frank’s family flee their family home to go into hiding in a secret annex attached to their spice factory office. They are joined by the Van Daan’s family and the dentist Mr Dussel. We follow their journey for two years up until they are captured .
Set during World War II.
Filmed in Amsterdam and sets built in Three Mills Studios, London.
